We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist specialising in the Acute Medical Ward to join a dynamic hospital team in Ipswich. What you will do:

• Carry out initial therapy and functional assessments for patients on the acute medical ward.

• Plan and support safe, timely discharges from hospital to community settings.

• Make appropriate onward referrals, including to community hospital beds and additional therapy services.

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Effectively prioritise and manage your own caseload, working autonomously where required.

• Escalate complex clinical issues to the MDT promptly and appropriately.

Requirements:

• Registration with the HCPC is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute medical occupational therapy setting.

• A valid driving licence is preferable to support community-related work.
