We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist specialising in the Acute Medical Ward to join a dynamic hospital team in Ipswich. What you will do:

Carry out initial therapy and functional assessments for patients on the acute medical ward.

Plan and support safe, timely discharges from hospital to community settings.

Make appropriate onward referrals, including to community hospital beds and additional therapy services.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Effectively prioritise and manage your own caseload, working autonomously where required.

Escalate complex clinical issues to the MDT promptly and appropriately.
Requirements:

Registration with the HCPC is essential.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute medical occupational therapy setting.

A valid driving licence is preferable to support community-related work.
