Band 6 Service Delivery Lead required in Stoke On Trent - £26 - £33ph Umbrella, Full-time, with an exciting opportunity to work in a locum position for three months. As a Service Delivery Lead (SDL), you will operate within mobile units taking blood donations from volunteers. This role requires travel around the vibrant city of Stoke On Trent, a hub of culture and history in the heart of the Midlands. What you will do
- Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) in daily phlebotomy sessions within mobile units.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout each shift.
- Manage clinic operations, ensuring all staff are equipped with the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and processes.
- Oversee stock levels and communicate needs to Service Managers.
- Report incidents to the appropriate operational and clinical channels.
- Conduct venepuncture when needed, especially in cases of missed attempts.
- Maintain a clean, compliant environment within the mobile clinic.
- Perform daily audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide your team to success.
Requirements
- To be considered for this role, you need to be over 25 years old.
- Possess a clean driving licence.
- Provide proof of venepuncture, cannulation, or blood drawing competencies.
- Certificates and a DBS certificate must be submitted alongside your CV.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday 07:50 – 18:10
- Saturday: No scheduled appointments (may change)
- Sunday 10:50 – 15:55
