We currently require Band 6 Nurses to work as SDLs in our innovative mobile units, taking blood from volunteers for tests across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for Band 6 Nurses to exercise their leadership skills and phlebotomy expertise while exploring different locations - Norwich, Cambridge, Ipswich, and Colchester. What you will do:
- Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) performing phlebotomy tasks daily.
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain these standards throughout shifts.
- Manage clinic operations effectively, ensuring staff are properly equipped with PPE and following the correct processes.
- Monitor and report stock levels to Service Managers, ensuring an efficient clinical environment.
- Act as a point of contact for both operational and clinical issues, reporting incidents using inphase.
- Perform venepuncture as needed to manage any failed attempts at blood drawing.
- Maintain a clean and safe clinical setting, conducting daily audits to ensure high standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership to guide your team and ensure smooth daily operations.
