What you will do

• Perform biochemistry laboratory testing and analysis to aid in critical diagnostic processes.
• Process and analyse patient samples with precision and care.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated biochemistry analysers to ensure optimal performance.
• Validate and authorise laboratory results, maintaining rigorous quality standards.
• Uphold quality control and quality assurance measures, supporting a reliable Biochemistry service.
• Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory records and documentation.
• Engage in service development and continuous improvement activities, fostering innovation within the biochemistry team.

Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Proven experience as a Biochemistry Biomedical Scientist with NHS laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with WinPath Enterprise.
• Experience using Roche e801, c702, and potentially c703 analysers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic laboratory environment.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Desirable

• Experience using Tosoh G11 analysers for HbA1c analysis.
• Previous Band 6 Biochemistry experience.
• Experience within an acute hospital laboratory environment.

Additional Information

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday
• Potential requirement to work until 21:00 following training
