Recruit4staff are representing a well-established sheet metal fabrication business in their search for an Assembly Technician to work in Widnes

Job Details:

• Pay: £16.27 per hour
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, half-day Fridays (early finish)
• Duration: Temp to Perm (initial 3 months)

Job Role: The Assembly Technician role will involve bench work assembling mild steel into boxes and enclosures. Duties include reading complex engineering drawings, bolting, cutting and folding metal, and fettling and finishing edges to the required standards in readiness for delivery. This Assembly Technician position suits someone with prior sheet-metal fabrication experience and a strong eye for detail.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for an Assembly Technician role
• Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
• Experience assembling mild steel components and enclosures

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Welding and Fabrication or similar
