As a locum social worker, you’ll relish the freedom and variety locum positions provide, alongside the opportunity to expand your experience across different settings.

What you will do:

• Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning, ensuring person-centred and strengths-based outcomes are achieved.

• Manage a caseload of adults with complex needs, including older people, physical disabilities, and mental health challenges.

• Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005, ensuring Best Interest decision-making where necessary.

• Lead and contribute to safeguarding enquiries according to Section 42, ensuring effective risk management and protection of vulnerable adults.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent).

• Professional development: Evidence of continued professional development.

• Registration: Registration with Social Work England.

• Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding adults procedures.

• Compliance: Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
