Role overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Specialist Community Team at Warrington Borough Council. This full-time locum role offers hybrid working, combining flexibility with meaningful onsite collaboration.

You will play a vital role within adult community services, focusing on preparation for adulthood and mental health pathways, while delivering high-quality interventions in line with the Care Act 2014.

What you will do

  • Work within adult community teams, supporting preparation for adulthood and mental health services.

  • Undertake Care Act assessments in a fast-paced environment, ensuring positive outcomes for service users.

  • Manage safeguarding responsibilities in line with statutory duties.

  • Contribute to duty services, ensuring timely responses to urgent matters.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records.

  • Effectively manage competing priorities while working under pressure.


Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualified experience, particularly within adult community teams.

  • Strong ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.

  • Relevant social work qualification and registration (Social Work England).

  • Employment history and references will be thoroughly checked.

  • Understanding of IR35 regulations (role falls inside IR35).
