Specialising in housing adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), you’ll play a key role in helping clients live safely and comfortably in their own homes. Offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £38 per hour, this full-time position provides both professional fulfilment and flexibility in a thriving local authority environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews to identify and recommend suitable housing adaptations for clients with disabilities.

Manage applications for Disabled Facilities Grants, ensuring all recommendations comply with relevant legislation and local policies.

Develop and provide detailed adaptation plans and specifications for contractors and technical staff.

Work collaboratively with builders, social care teams, and other professionals to ensure adaptations meet clients’ functional and accessibility needs.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all cases, ensuring compliance with data management standards.

Provide expert advice, support, and guidance to clients and their families throughout the adaptation process.

Manage your caseload efficiently while delivering a high standard of professional service.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:

HCPC registration as a qualified Occupational Therapist.

A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.

Demonstrable experience in housing adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grants.

Strong communication and case management skills.

A full EU/UK driving licence and daily access to a car for community visits.
