What you will do:
- Provide essential rehabilitation services, including orientation and mobility training, living skills training, and communication skills to support individuals with sensory loss.
- Develop and deliver tailored programs to meet the unique needs of clients with visual impairments and dual sensory loss.
- Work collaboratively with a team of experienced professionals to deliver comprehensive and integrated services.
- Conduct assessments and develop support plans that promote independence and improve the quality of life for clients.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skillsets and remain updated on best practices in sensory rehabilitation.
- Engage with Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities to extend your services and expand your professional capabilities.
We are in search of a qualified rehabilitation officer, holding a Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent, with a thorough understanding of the needs of people with visual impairments. The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
