Overview

Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning recruitment agency specialising in healthcare across Ireland, is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Dietitian to join a specialist in-patient mental health and neurodisability service based in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

Role Summary

As a Senior Dietitian, you will take a lead role in providing a comprehensive, evidence-based dietetic service to adults in long-term mental health and neurodisability care. You will contribute to service development, support junior staff, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality nutritional care that promotes recovery, health, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Dietitian

  • Deliver advanced, evidence-based dietetic care to adults with complex neuro and mental health conditions.

  • Conduct nutritional assessments, develop and oversee treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes.

  • Manage complex feeding cases, including enteral feeding and oral-motor dysfunction.

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to junior dietetic staff.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to case reviews and care planning.

  • Offer dietetic education and training to patients, families, and staff.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with CORU and HSE standards.

  • Lead and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects.

  • Foster a culture of dignity, equality, and respect in all aspects of care.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Recognised qualification in Dietetics and current registration with CORU.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in neurodisability and/or mental health care.

  • Proven ability to lead service improvements and support staff development.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
