Purpose of the Role:
To deliver high-quality psychological services to children, young people, families, and educational settings across Thurrock. The role focuses on applying psychological principles and evidence-based practices to enhance inclusion, learning, and emotional well-being for children and young people aged 0–25.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake psychological assessments and observations in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014.

Provide detailed psychological advice for EHCP assessments and annual reviews in line with statutory guidance.

Collaborate with schools, families, and agencies to develop and implement effective action plans.

Promote early intervention and problem-solving using consultation and formulation models.

Deliver targeted cognitive, emotional, and behavioural interventions to support children’s development.

Offer training and expert advice to schools to improve inclusion and emotional well-being strategies.

Implement evidence-based interventions in partnership with schools to enhance academic and social outcomes.

Support the adoption of the Graduated Approach to SEND provision.

Contribute to whole-school strategies promoting positive behaviour, attendance, and mental health.

Engage in multi-agency collaboration with SEND, Early Help, Social Care, Health, and CAMHS teams.

Maintain HCPC registration and participate in supervision, reflective practice, and service development.
