Social Worker - Children & Families Team - Gloucester (UK), £42 Hourly, 3 Months

Join us for an incredible locum opportunity as a Social Worker with the Children & Families Team in Gloucester. This role offers a competitive pay of £42 hourly for a 3-month assignment. We are committed to creating a work environment that offers flexibility and support, allowing our social workers to maintain a balance between their personal and professional lives. This full-time position will see you managing a diverse caseload, which will include Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC), and may involve some court work with a caseload of approximately 18.

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Social Worker to provide impactful, evidence-based interventions, with emphasis on timeliness and measurable outcomes. You will be provided with a laptop and smartphone to enhance your flexible working conditions, with an expectation to be in the office three days per week. All children will require face-to-face visits unless COVID is confirmed.

What you will do:

  • Manage a varied caseload of children providing timely and effective assessments and interventions.
  • Conduct assessments to identify needs and deliver appropriate resources or programs.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  • Prepare and present reports for legal proceedings when necessary.
  • Engage in regular supervision and continuous professional development.
