Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity as a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Team? Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated RMN to join the CAMHS team at Junction 17 in Prestwich Hospital, Manchester (M45 7JZ), for a locum position over the next three months. Earn £21 p/h, with flexible hours from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and options for alternative schedules like 8am-6pm for four days a week. Part-time arrangements can also be considered.

This is an exciting chance to work in a specialist service providing comprehensive care for young people aged 13-17. You will be part of a team that offers a variety of services, including a state-of-the-art inpatient unit and a weekday outpatient service. What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of young people experiencing a variety of mental health issues such as psychosis, eating disorders, and anxiety/depression.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans and therapeutic interventions to support the mental health recovery of young people.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of qualified CAMHS professionals to deliver high-quality and evidence-based care.
  • Engage with families and carers, providing guidance and support to help them understand and manage mental health challenges.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and supervision to maintain and enhance your nursing skills.
