About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Team in Coventry. This role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, working within a progressive and collaborative environment.
This full-time locum position provides a stable schedule with hybrid flexibility—office-based work on Wednesdays and remote working for the remainder of the week. With an hourly rate of £31.97, this role offers both professional fulfilment and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of approximately 15–20 individuals, focusing on safeguarding and care management.

Review and adjust care plans for service users, responding to changes in circumstances or needs.

Complete Community Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (CDoLS) applications and renewals.

Undertake legal and statutory work, including preparing reports and documentation for court proceedings.

Apply sound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act, and Care Act 2014.

Contribute to team duty days one to two times per month, supporting service continuity.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, carers, and partner agencies to ensure holistic care delivery.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced and qualified Social Worker with current registration and a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities. You’ll demonstrate excellent understanding of relevant legislation, be confident managing complex cases, and have strong communication and assessment skills.
