Locum Social Worker - Adults Learning Disabilities Team – Leeds, UK Salary: £30.98 Hourly Ongoing Full Time/Part Time

What you will do:
- Provide a high quality and comprehensive social work service to adults, carers, and the community, in line with statutory guidelines and organisational policies.
- Manage a caseload involving complex cases, notably those requiring innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Undertake complex assessments, including Community Care and Best Interest Assessments.
- Implement safeguarding investigations within multi-agency procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, identifying needs and options to promote independence and early intervention.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships using a person-centred approach with service users, families, and carers.
- Work with courts under appropriate supervision to obtain and execute court orders.
- Participate in development of practice and services and support other teams with specific work.
- Carry out the Practice Educator Level 2 role, join the AMHP rota where qualified, and manage office duties when required.
Skills, knowledge & experience:
- Extensive experience working in a statutory setting.
- Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate work with service users effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Skilled in overcoming resistance, managing conflict, and innovating solutions.
- Experience in supporting service plans and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to chair multi-agency meetings and represent the Authority professionally.
- Supervising and supporting qualified and non-qualified staff with reflective practice techniques.
Qualifications & Training:
- Hold a recognised social work qualification (BSc, BA, MA, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Recent relevant professional development.
