Occupational Therapist - Learning Disabilities Team in Hemel Hempstead, UK. £32 Hourly. Full-Time. ASAP Start - Ongoing. What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients with learning disabilities, tailoring support plans to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and effective care planning.
  • Implement and review Care Act assessments, focusing on both current and future needs of adults in transition.
  • Empower clients through innovative therapy solutions, promoting independence and improving life skills.
  • Stay fully compliant with all professional standards, ensuring top-tier service delivery.
  • Utilize your driving skills to access various work locations, enhancing the scope of delivered services.


Requirements:

  • A recognised occupational therapy qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.
  • At least two years of experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of social care legislation including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Strong teamwork and decision-making skills to collaborate efficiently with partners and agencies.
  • A full UK driving licence and regular access to a vehicle are preferable for site accessibility.
