Salary: £41.10 per hour

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Social Worker to join the Court Team in Macclesfield. This full-time, ongoing locum role offers the chance to work within a fast-paced and rewarding environment where your contribution will directly influence the lives of children and families. You will support children from the initiation of Interim Care Orders (ICO) through to the completion of care proceedings, ensuring that every care plan meets the child’s needs with the least intrusive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent children during court proceedings, ensuring their best interests and voices are at the forefront of decision-making.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective, child-centred care plans.

• Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely reports for court submissions in line with legal requirements.

• Work closely with legal representatives, families, carers, and service providers to build strong, supportive relationships.

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, local policies, and procedures relating to children’s social care.

• Manage competing priorities effectively while meeting strict court deadlines.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with current registration (Social Work England).

• Proven experience in court work or children’s social care.

• Strong report writing and communication skills.

• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
