Overview

An experienced Product Owner is required to support the roadmap and delivery of key initiatives across my client’s eCommerce platform, driving online sales performance and enhancing the digital customer experience.
You’ll own the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements across the website and mobile channels, ensuring every release adds measurable value to both the customer and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the eCommerce product vision, roadmap, and priorities, aligned with trading and digital growth objectives.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the online journey — from discovery to checkout — is frictionless and optimised for conversion.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI design, marketing, and data teams to deliver enhancements that improve site performance, engagement, and revenue.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Trading, Marketing, CRM, and Technology to ensure alignment between eCommerce initiatives and wider business goals.
  • Use analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to inform decisions and validate the impact of new features.
  • Ensure releases are delivered on time, to scope, and to a high level of quality, driving continuous improvement across the digital estate.
  • Champion best practices in agile delivery, product ownership, and eCommerce optimisation.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner within an eCommerce or digital retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of online customer journeys, trading performance, and conversion optimisation.
  • Experience with CMS, checkout, or payment integrations is highly desirable.
  • Confident working within Agile/Scrum teams, managing complex backlogs and competing priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and commercial teams.
  • Payment Integration and or Mobile Apps experience would be a bonus
