What you will do:

• Form, develop, and maintain professional relationships with children, young people, and their families through direct casework and counselling.
• Provide services that meet primary needs, promote development, and assist with addressing behavioural difficulties and vulnerabilities.
• Identify and assess risks of abuse or harm to children, advising senior managers as necessary.
• Contribute to ideas for good practice, taking a lead in special areas of responsibility.
• Respect diversity and empower individuals and families to make informed decisions.
• Challenge discrimination and advocate for equality and justice.
• Manage child protection cases and set up mechanisms for monitoring care plans.
• Communicate effectively in case conferences, planning meetings, and inter-agency collaborations.
• Provide evidence in court as needed and ensure adherence to established protocols.
• Represent the team in various meetings, advocating for both the service users and team.
