What you will do:
- Provide expert care to young people experiencing mental health crises, helping them remain at home as an alternative to hospital admission.
- Conduct thorough assessments of risk and create safety and care plans with young people and their families.
- Utilise clinical skills and judgement to deliver effective interventions that manage crisis periods.
- Collaborate closely with families, carers, and partner agencies to plan further interventions when necessary.
- Manage your caseload from initial contact through to discharge, ensuring a seamless care experience.
- Gain diverse knowledge from all areas of the wider CAMHS service to enrich your professional practice.

Main duties of the job:
This role requires providing care to young people experiencing a mental health crisis. You'll join a 24-hour, 365-day service operating within a shift system, including occasional weekend and on-call duties. Generous enhancements are provided for these shifts. You will assess risk and formulate comprehensive safety and care plans in collaboration with children, young people, and their families. The role aims to support young people to stay at home as an alternative to inpatient hospital admission. Close cooperation with families, carers, and partner agencies is crucial to collaboratively plan for any further necessary interventions. The position involves team collaboration and autonomous practice, with responsibility for managing caseloads from the first contact to discharge.
