What you will do:
- Deliver safe and effective rehabilitative patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within the mental health inpatient wards.
- Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, ensuring high standards of clinical care with professional and legal accountability.
- Independently manage clinical needs and prioritisation across your caseload.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, utilising clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Develop, deliver, and coordinate personalised intervention and management plans along with discharge planning.
- Provide holistic physiotherapy management, considering the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
- Assess, demonstrate, and prescribe equipment to aid mobility, ensuring its safe use.
- Implement highly developed handling skills for patients with complex conditions.
- Work effectively within the team, maintaining visibility and accessibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues.
- Be involved in Quality Improvement projects and ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
Requirements of the Physiotherapist:
- Qualified physiotherapist with a degree or equivalent within physiotherapy.
- Recent UK experience in specialised physiotherapy.
- Registered with the HCPC as a physiotherapist to work in the UK.
- NHS experience is advantageous but not essential.
