What you will do:
- Assess and treat patients by prescribing, designing, and fitting external braces and supports to improve mobility, reduce pain, and correct or manage physical conditions.
- Collaborate with a wider team of healthcare professionals to support patient rehabilitation and foster independence.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and maintain meticulous patient records to ensure the best outcomes.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families about the use and care of orthotic devices.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: BSc Honours Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Registration: HCPC registration is essential for this role.
- Membership: Membership in the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a community setting is desirable to ensure effective service delivery.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for community visits.
