What you will do:
- Act as the professional advisor to the Fostering Panel, providing insightful advice on legislation, regulations, statutory guidance, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the Panel operates effectively within the regulatory framework, promoting robust standards of practice.
- Provide clear, evidence-based guidance on assessments, reviews, approvals, and deregistration cases.
- Collaborate with the Panel Chair to facilitate fair and well-informed decision-making processes.
- Ensure assessments and reports presented to the Panel meet high-quality benchmarks and compliance with fostering standards.
- Offer constructive feedback to social workers and managers, fostering continual learning and report improvement.
- Identify and address learning needs, contributing to the development and training of staff
- Promote safeguarding principles, ensuring child welfare is at the forefront of Panel recommendations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority standards to maintain the highest quality of fostering service provision.
- Maintain productive relationships with fostering teams, service managers, and professionals to facilitate seamless service delivery.
- Provide expert advice on complex fostering issues to social workers, foster carers, and managers.
- Play a pivotal role in fostering service development through proactive feedback and policy review initiatives.
