We have an exciting locum opportunity for a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist within the Histology department in Salisbury. This role offers a pay rate of £26 per hour, with the option of an ongoing contract. You will enjoy the flexibility of full-time employment while contributing to vital laboratory operations. This position aims to cover operational lab work and free up a member of staff to work on the LIMS and EPR project for up to 12 months.

What you will do:
- Perform a range of histological tasks including tissue preparation, embedding, sectioning, and staining
- Verify and report results in alignment with laboratory protocols and quality standards
- Assist in maintaining the laboratory equipment to ensure efficient operations
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the continuity of lab services and the support of project work like LIMS and EPR
- Maintain an organised workspace and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

To be considered for this thrilling opportunity, applicants must have HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an equivalent. Post-qualifying experience in the field of biomedical science is also required.
