What You Will Do:
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to mental health, intermediate care, and elderly care inpatient units, ensuring patients receive the right medication from admission through to discharge
- Offer expert advice on medication use to consultants, prescribers, and healthcare professionals, as well as patients and their families
- Assist professional leads in enhancing medicine use to meet CQC standards, including advising on medicine storage and reviewing controlled drug processes
- Collaborate with the Medication Safety Officer to implement medication safety initiatives on designated wards
- Ensure prescriptions are screened for accuracy, legality, and safety, liaising with medical staff to resolve any issues
- Partake in the dispensary and medicines information rotas, providing essential and evaluated information regarding complex medication enquiries
- Uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice and ethics within the staff team
- Participate in peer reviews and maintain your continuing professional development, taking ownership of your learning in various pharmacy specialities
- Ensure completion of mandatory training as outlined by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust

Requirements of the Pharmacist:
- GPHC Registration
- Previous NHS Pharmacy experience within the UK
- NVQ or equivalent Pharmacist qualification
