Purpose of the Role

To lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team that delivers joined-up, outcome-focused support for children, families, and/or adults. You will ensure high-quality practice, effective collaboration, and measurable results that enhance lives across the local community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear leadership, management, and direction to the MDT.

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff across multiple disciplines to ensure effective performance.

  • Allocate and monitor caseloads, prioritising risk and need appropriately.

  • Promote reflective practice and continuous learning within the team.

  • Support staff with complex casework and provide case consultations where needed.

  • Ensure all assessments and interventions are timely, evidence-based, and outcome-driven.

  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies.

  • Coordinate joint working arrangements and optimise service delivery pathways.

  • Represent the council at key meetings and multi-agency forums.

  • Contribute to audits, quality assurance processes, and service planning.

  • Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.
