Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of mainstream and kinship foster carers, as well as supported lodgings hosts, working in partnership with fostering team staff and other professionals.

  • Undertake comprehensive fostering assessments of potential carers and connected carers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines.

  • Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports and recommendations to inform key decision-making processes.

  • Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and support to prospective carers throughout the assessment process.

  • Collaborate closely with partner agencies to deliver a holistic, child-centred approach to assessments.
