Based at Sumner House in Peckham, this role provides the perfect blend of office-based and fieldwork, with an emphasis on flexibility to cater to the needs of the children and families you support. With two days a week in the office, some travel outside of London may be required to visit children in care.

What You Will Do

• Work directly with children and provide clear, accurate assessments of their needs in line with statutory guidance, collecting information through interviews and observations.

• Develop, implement, and review care plans, including protection plans within the child protection framework, based on assessed risks and needs.

• Manage a caseload effectively, organising and prioritising tasks and responsibilities to meet statutory requirements and performance targets.

• Prepare concise and informative reports and deliver them in various settings, including courts and meetings with families and professionals.

• Execute focused social work interventions with explicit goals aiming to safeguard children and improve outcomes.

• Maintain detailed case records and ensure all information is up to date and organised on appropriate systems.

• Collaborate with other agencies to promote an integrated approach to achieving positive outcomes for children.

• Flexibly deliver services in homes, schools, or community settings as needed.
