What you will do:
- Work as an embedded practitioner within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an integrated therapeutic service.
- Engage with children and young people by conducting high quality assessments and providing direct and indirect therapy.
- Offer consultation, training, and modeling to educational and residential staff to support the developmental goals of the children.
- Provide line management and clinical supervision to Occupational Therapists within the allocated setting or region.
- Utilize your advanced specialist knowledge effectively across a range of work practices, applying a wide theoretical and practical understanding.
- Collaborate closely with children, young people, and their staff to ensure personalised delivery plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support recruitment and induction of new staff, offering mentoring and coaching as needed.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent UK experience in an Occupational Therapy role.
- Experience working within the NHS.
- Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
