Wood Machinist in Telford, West Midlands

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading manufacturing company in their search for a Wood Machinist to work in their leading facility in Telford.

The hiring manager would prefer someone who has worked on a CNC Router or in a Workshop doing Woodwork.

For the successful Wood Machinist our client is offering;

• Hourly rate of up to £13 per hour - This will depend on experience
• Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm, Friday 7am – 3pm
• Overtime opportunities
• Temporary - Permanent position

The Role of the Wood Machinist:

• Operating a wood routing CNC machine
• Working to different specifications
• Sanding down of wood
• Daily use of hand and power tools including air and nail guns
• Using a variety of saws within the workshop
• Following Health & Safety guidelines
• Lifting of different sizes of Wooden boards
• Manual handling
• Sweeping up

What our client is looking for in a Wood Machinist:

• Previous Machine Operating experience - ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience with a CNC Router - HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
• This is a PHYSICAL role that will involve LIFTING different sizes of products
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Guidelines / Manual Handling
