Mental Health Senior Social Worker - Kensington and Chelsea - £36 Hourly

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Senior Social Worker in the vibrant borough of Kensington and Chelsea. This secondment is for a 4-month period to cover maternity leave, with the potential to be extended. What you will do:

• Lead the daily operations of the mental health team, deputising for the Team Manager and acting as Duty Manager on a rota basis.
• Screen new referrals and efficiently manage triage and safeguarding concerns with great care and precision.
• Provide strong leadership in multi-agency meetings, advocating a social work perspective throughout the decision-making process.
• Collaborate with community mental health teams, voluntary organisations and healthcare partners to foster partnerships that enhance support and ensure safety.
• Handle a manageable caseload of complex cases involving Care Act assessments, safeguarding, and court proceedings.
• Mentor and supervise newly qualified social workers and apprentices, playing a crucial role in their professional development.
