About the Role

We are working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Coventry, offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated maths graduate to join their team this September.

In this role, you will act as an Unqualified Teacher, taking on real teaching responsibilities with the support and guidance of experienced educators. This is ideal for someone looking to develop confidence and skills before applying for PGCE, Schools Direct, or other teacher training routes in 2026.

Graduate Unqualified Maths Teacher:

As part of the maths department, you will play an active role in delivering and supporting high-quality maths education across Key Stages 3 and 4. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering parts of lessons and gradually taking on full-class teaching responsibilities

• Planning and preparing resources with support from qualified staff

• Providing small group and 1:1 intervention to support pupil progress

• Supporting classroom behaviour management and pupil engagement

• Reflecting on your teaching practice and working closely with mentors to improve

• Helping students build confidence and reach their full potential in maths

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic graduate who is eager to make a difference. You should have:

• A degree in Maths or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)

• A genuine interest in education and a long-term ambition to teach

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn on the job

• Experience working with young people is desirable, but not essential
