Team Manager (Social Work) - Duty and Assessment Team - Bury (UK) - £46 Hourly - 3 Months

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of social workers in providing quality field social work services to children in need and their families, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Oversee and ensure effective child protection services, applying your extensive knowledge from substantial child protection experience.
  • Guide staff through complex case assessments and ensure regular performance reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and services to ensure a holistic approach to child and family welfare.
  • Handle crisis situations with confidence and ensure swift and responsive action.
  • Promote the team's professional development and provide direct support to increase their skills and efficiency.


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A recognised qualification in social work, such as CQSW, DIPSW, BA HONS SW or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in a field social work setting, including significant experience in child protection.
