We are seeking to recruit a Team Manager for our Fostering South team for a one-year interim cover while the current post holder is on secondment. The successful candidate will manage a team of skilled fostering social workers, supported by a social work consultant acting as a deputy manager. The team is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance of approved mainstream foster carers in the South of the County. The Team Manager oversees the fostering service's statutory requirements, ensuring excellent service delivery and quality assurance. You will be central in supporting and driving high performance within the team. Due to the hands-on nature of this role, candidates will need to work hybrid, with some days required in the office at Seaham.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage a team of fostering social workers, nurturing their professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements for fostering services.
- Oversee and support high-quality performance for optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with and support foster carers for the South of the County area.
- Enhance operational protocols and implement service improvements.
