Job Opportunity: Social Work Advanced Practitioner – Duty & Assessment Team
Location: Oldham
Salary: £40 per Hour
Contract: Full-time | Ongoing | Hybrid (1 day office-based)
We are looking for a seasoned and self-assured advanced practitioner to join our duty and assessment service in Oldham. This is a stellar role that will have you supporting the team manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dynamic team. It's a chance to refine your management skills while making a positive impact on children and families. You’ll be spending one day a week in the office and leading the charge full week on duty.

What you will do:

Manage a caseload involving families under Child in Need (CIN) interventions, progressing cases towards closure, or escalating to Initial Child Protection Case Conference (ICPCC), Public Law Outline (PLO), or Court when necessary.

Prepare essential court documents including initial Social Work Evidence Templates (SWET), Section 7, and Section 37 reports.

Mentor and support newly qualified social workers and apprentices by providing reflective supervision and support with casework. This includes conducting observations and offering feedback to foster their professional growth.

Facilitate group reflective supervision sessions for the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning.

Enhance service quality and performance through data analysis, case reviews, feedback sessions, and best practice guidance.

Collaborate with the team manager to chair strategy meetings and ensure the quality assurance of assessments and CIN plans.
