Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Adult Social Care Service to work full time based in Hull.

The salary for this Senior Social Worker job is up to £43,511 per annum.

Main duties:

• To promote and safeguard the welfare of adults at risk, families and their carers, within the ‘making safeguarding personal’ principles.
• Undertake proportionate assessments, determine eligibility, and assess risk. Plan care and support and make the best use of available resources to enable people to live the life they choose.
• To ensure people are given correct financial advice and information about charging processes of the council.
• Works in partnership with Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy utilising their expertise in the assessment and review process.
• To assess, identify and source low level OT equipment where this could support an individual to live independently or as part of a wider package of care.
• Engages in critical reflection and constructive challenge within the course of working with colleagues, other agencies and with vulnerable adults and families.
• Actively engages in team meetings/practice forums and other relevant meetings ensuring focused and purposeful social work us undertaken with all cases.
• Works with colleagues in the team to ensure the form of communications are clear and aligned with people’s needs. Demonstrate effective use of evidence-based social work practice.
• Works with colleagues in the team to ensure that case recording is up to date and that required information is available for a variety of purposes e.g., multi-agency meetings, strategy meetings, panels, court, case conferences etc.
• Engages in the professional decision-making process with colleagues in relation to complex/high-risk cases.
• Actively engages in the professional development framework for Hull Adult Social Care (including attendance at practice development groups) and continuous learning as per relevant level of the Professional Capabilities Framework for the role.
• Engages in and advises on the professional decision-making process with adults at risk, families and their carers, and colleagues in relation to complex/high risk cases.

Requirements of this Senior Social Worker job:

• Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
• Registered as Social Worker.
• Understanding of the SW legislation.
• Specialist knowledge of theories and practice relating to Social Work to achieve successful outcomes for adults and carers.
