We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Band 6 Deputy Manager (RMN or RNLD) to join our Adult Community Services team at our Autism Hub in beautiful Guernsey, UK. What you will do:
- Assess service users with autism and complex needs to develop tailored care programmes.
- Guide and direct staff in planning and delivering care, ensuring high-quality outcomes for service users.
- Lead your team in implementing risk assessments and minimising health and wellbeing risks.
- Coordinate your team during emergency situations, ensuring service user needs are met.
- Promote service user involvement and respect their wishes, beliefs, and dignity in care planning.
- Safeguard service users according to organisational policy and guidelines.
- Act as a mentor and supervisor to staff and students, promoting a conducive learning environment.
- Ensure team members understand organisational objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with service users, their significant others, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage conflicts and act as an advocate for service users.
- Participate in preparing and implementing the annual business plan and managing budgets as delegated.
- Lead in developing evidence-based practice and undertaking clinical audits.
