Waste And Recycling Assessor in Lyndhurst, Hampshire

We are seeking four Waste Assessors to support the roll-out of new waste and recycling collection services in the New Forest area.

The role

You’ll be out and about visiting properties across the district to:
- Identify waste container collection points and assess suitability
- Complete simple tick-box risk assessments
- Work with residents to promote good waste and recycling practices
- Record and report any collection issues
- Liaise with collection crews and stakeholders to resolve access or capacity problems

Full training will be provided.

What you’ll need

- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Full UK driving licence and access to an appropriately insured vehicle (mileage paid at 65p per mile)
- Confidence communicating with people from all backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends if required

Desirable

- Previous customer service or public-facing experience
- Knowledge of waste or recycling services
- Experience with CRM or operational IT systems

Details:

- Fixed-term role: 1 month, with the possibility of extension to 3 months
- Mileage allowance at 65p per mile (from Marsh Lane Depot)
- PPE provided
- Mixture of on-site and office-based work
