About the Role:
This full-time, fixed-term opportunity is ideal for a STEM graduate who wants to:
- Gain valuable experience in a real classroom setting
- Work closely with subject specialists across Science, Maths, Computing, and Engineering
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions to boost student progress
- Support high-achieving pupils aiming for top grades, as well as those needing additional scaffolding
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, classroom activities, and exam preparation
- Develop the skills, confidence and insight required for teacher training in 2026
You’ll be fully embedded in the school community, working with enthusiastic students and supportive colleagues who are committed to academic success and personal development.
About You:
We’re looking for:
- A recent graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in a STEM discipline – Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science or related
- A future educator, serious about pursuing teaching as a career
- An excellent communicator with the ability to break down complex ideas
- A positive, proactive attitude and genuine interest in working with young people
- Experience working with students (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, outreach) is advantageous but not essential
Salary & Benefits:
- £28,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, term time only
- Fixed-term contract (September 2025 – July 2026)
- Weekly pay, optional CPD, and future training routes available
