This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment while working closely with students who need extra help to reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in raising attainment across key subjects. Your focus will be on supporting students who are currently working below expected levels, particularly in core areas such as English, Maths, and Science. You’ll be working:

  • 1:1 with pupils to offer personalised learning support
  • In small group interventions, helping to build confidence and consolidate class learning
  • Alongside class teachers, helping to deliver targeted booster sessions

  • 5-minute walk from a Northern Line station
  • Earn up to £600 per week | Full-time | 1-Year Fixed-Term Contract
  • September 2025 Start

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, and is perfect for aspiring teachers or education professionals who want to gain in-school experience before pursuing teacher training or a PGCE.

Why Join This School?

  • Located in Barnet, just a 5-minute walk from the nearest Northern Line station
  • Supportive senior leadership team and excellent training opportunities
  • Inclusive and ambitious school community focused on progress and well-being
  • Dynamic, experienced teaching staff ready to mentor and guide your development

About You:

We are looking for:

  • A recent graduate (any subject considered – strong preference for core subjects)
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
  • Some previous experience in tutoring, mentoring or working with young people is desirable but not essential

Pay & Contract Details:

  • Up to £600 per week, depending on experience
