What you will do:
- Oversee safeguarding enquiries and manage complex or high-risk cases, providing supervision and professional support to team members, including staff and students.
- Lead assessments and coordinate interventions to safeguard vulnerable adults or children, ensuring risk levels are correctly assessed and that appropriate resources are allocated efficiently.
- Work closely with partner agencies such as police, health services, and education to share information and coordinate safeguarding efforts.
- Ensure strict compliance with safeguarding legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Manage team workloads, allocate cases, and handle a caseload of complex situations, ensuring timely, high-quality report writing and record keeping.
- Contribute to staff development by identifying training needs, conducting inductions, and fostering a learning culture within the team.
- Act as a senior representative, chairing multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to practice development.
- Maintain strong communication skills to effectively engage children, adults, families, and professionals, with some outreach or hybrid office/home working arrangements.
