What you will do:
- Work autonomously to assess, diagnose, and treat children with a broad range of physical disabilities, developmental delays, and complex conditions using evidence-based principles.
- Manage and prioritise a defined caseload independently, ensuring timely and effective physiotherapy interventions.
- Actively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist advice and liaising with other health, social, and education services.
- Provide clinical supervision to juniors, Band 5 physiotherapists, and students, while contributing to training and education initiatives.
- Maintain contemporaneous clinical documentation, producing reports and ensuring appropriate patient communication.
- Demonstrate specialist paediatric skills in therapeutic handling, positioning, and respiratory care.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety of patients and staff during treatment.
- Recognise and address child protection concerns, discussing with parents/carers and reporting as necessary.
- Contribute to service development projects to enhance clinical pathways and practice.
