Seeking a Social Work Team Manager with a specialism in Looked After Children in the vibrant town of St Helens, UK. We are in search of an experienced and qualified social work manager with a commendable track record of high performance. You will lead a team of 6 social workers and one assistant team manager. You will expertly manage caseloads for children under our care, leveraging your comprehensive understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Child Exploitation (CE), and handling instances of missing children.
What you will do:
- Lead, mentor, and support your team to effectively manage cases of looked after children
- Ensure that the team achieves high standards in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Work closely with the assistant team manager to oversee day-to-day operations
- Liaise with external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements as required
- Participate in meetings and case reviews, offering your expertise and guidance
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Recent managerial experience, working as a TM, DTM or ATM etc.
- Significant frontline experience in Adults/Children’s Services working as a Team Manager
