What you will do:

• Carry out comprehensive and person-centred assessments within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team, ensuring decisions are in the best interests of individuals as per the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults by guiding them through the MCA and DoLs process, engaging clearly with all stakeholders involved.
• Maintain accurate and detailed case records while producing top-quality reports for various audiences, including courts and panels.
• Fulfil statutory obligations by aligning with legislation, analysing complex evidence, and presenting decision-making reports.
• Engage with individuals and families to ensure understanding and support in legal challenges and options.
• Provide professional advice, support, and training to colleagues, partners, and the general public regarding mental capacity and safeguarding.
• Participate actively in a duty rota, responding to urgent assessment requests as part of your role in supporting the team.
