Met Technician in Wirral, North West

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established vehicle bodyshop and repair specialist in their search for a MET Technician to work in Wirral.

Job Role: As an MET Technician, you will be diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical faults caused by traffic accidents. The role includes stripping and rebuilding crash-damaged mechanical parts and body panels such as clutches, suspension and brakes. You will be replacing damaged components including headlights, brakes and airbags, and ensuring vehicles are returned to a safe and roadworthy condition.

Job Details:

• Pay: £34,000 - £37,000 per annum plus overtime
• Hours of Work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (42.5-hour week)
• Duration: Permanent
• Overtime: Paid at x1.5 after 42.5 hours

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Mechanical fitting
• Stripping and disassembly
• Mechanical assembly

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Vehicle repair qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

• Suitable vehicle repair qualifications, NVQs or similar, or previous experience
