We're Hiring: Technical Operator (Late Shift) – £37,000 + Bonus | West Yorkshire

Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire, HD6
Shift: Late shift after initial training | 40 hours/week
Salary: £37,000 + £3,000 annual performance bonus

A leading, family-run manufacturing business in the uPVC window sector is looking for a hands-on, technically skilled Technical Operator to join their growing team and support cutting-edge machinery and engineering projects.

About the Role:

This role involves working on newly introduced, high-tech production equipment and contributing to ongoing engineering improvements. You’ll start on a 6am–2pm training shift for two months, before moving to either:

• A rotating 2-week shift (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am), or

• A fixed 2pm–10pm shift

️ Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain machinery including machine centres, quad welders, and corner cleaners

• Hands-on fault finding and repair of mechanical and electrical systems

• Support the roll-out of future engineering projects

• Contribute proactively to a dynamic production environment

✅ Skills & Experience:

Mechanical:

• Pneumatics

• Machining

• Belts & Bearings

Electrical:

• Three-phase & single-phase systems

• Motors, sensors, relays, inverters

Bonus Skills (Desirable):

• PLC fault finding

• Welding and fabrication

• Gearboxes, pumps, chains

Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• A mechanically minded operator or entry-level engineer

• Proactive, hardworking, and keen to learn

• Local to West Yorkshire or able to reliably commute
