What you will do:
- Leadership and Staff Management: Guide a team of care professionals by recruiting, training, supervising, and developing them. Create a supportive environment that not only fosters professional growth but ensures that staff are well-equipped to meet the needs of children in care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, the Children Act 1989, and other significant legislation. Preemptively prepare for Ofsted inspections and address improvement areas with tenacity.
- Care Planning and Safeguarding: Design and implement personalised care plans for each child by collaborating with social workers, families, and external agencies. Lead as the Designated Safeguarding Officer and cultivate an environment dedicated to safety and concern resolution.
- Operational Management: Take command of day-to-day operations including budgeting, resource allocation, and staffing. Ensure efficient and effective running of the home by aligning with organisational policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance and Development: Elevate and evolve the quality of care by monitoring and implementing necessary improvements. Engage in continuous service development to meet the ever-changing needs of children and regulatory demand.
