Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in accordance with NMC standards and Trust policies.

• Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored risk management and care plans.

• Administer medication safely, monitoring outcomes and managing any adverse effects.

• Provide leadership on shift as required, ensuring smooth clinical operations.

• Mentor and support junior staff and students, promoting a positive learning environment.

• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records using appropriate documentation systems.

• Communicate effectively with service users, families, carers, and colleagues to ensure cohesive care.

Essential Requirements

• Current registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with the NMC.

• Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience in a mental health setting.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.

• Strong understanding of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and recovery-oriented care.
