Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in accordance with NMC standards and Trust policies.

Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored risk management and care plans.

Administer medication safely, monitoring outcomes and managing any adverse effects.

Provide leadership on shift as required, ensuring smooth clinical operations.

Mentor and support junior staff and students, promoting a positive learning environment.

Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records using appropriate documentation systems.

Communicate effectively with service users, families, carers, and colleagues to ensure cohesive care.
Essential Requirements

Current registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with the NMC.

Minimum of two years’ post-registration experience in a mental health setting.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.

Strong understanding of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and recovery-oriented care.
