What you will do:
- Provide clinical leadership within the specialist field, ensuring practices align with national and local policies.
- Take direct line management responsibility for a team of clinicians and support new staff and students.
- Develop and maintain policies and evidence-based guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and enter data onto electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with families and provide interpreters when necessary.
- Participate in meetings with professionals, families, and during discharge planning.
- Ensure comprehensive care plans are in place and support education staff in maintaining Health Care Plans.
- Identify service provision gaps and escalate as needed.
- Deliver expert training in needed areas alongside other services.
- Safeguard and ensure the quality of care for children and families using various quality assurance tools.
- Manage nursing provisions for children with special needs in Special Schools.
- Engage in recruitment, retention programmes, appraisals, and strategic meetings.
- Budget management and report production for commissioners.
