What you will do:
- Perform transabdominal and transvaginal gynaecological ultrasound scans, expertly assessing for fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometrial abnormalities, and early pregnancy complications.
- Interpret and report ultrasound findings with a high level of autonomy, ensuring the utmost accuracy in your diagnostics.
- Provide specialised support to early pregnancy assessment units (EPAU), fertility clinics, and gynaecology outpatient services, positively impacting patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs) particularly for cases involving suspected or diagnosed gynaecological cancers.
- Ensure meticulous record keeping and timely result reporting in adherence to Trust policies.
- Train and mentor junior sonographers, radiographers, and other clinical staff, sharing your expertise and inspiring the next generation.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient care, providing a safe, respectful, and compassionate service.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in ultrasound technology and gynaecological imaging practices to ensure cutting-edge patient care.
